Taman Nasional Bantimurung Bulusaraung South Sulawesi

Taman Nasional Bantimurung Bulusaraung, (National Parks Bantimurung Bulusaraung or abbreviated TN Babul)) have a variety of unique such as: Karst, stalaknit caves with beautiful, waterfall and butterflies.

In this place there were at least 20 species of butterflies are protected by the government and established by Government Regulation no. 7/1999. Between the years 1856-1857, Alfred Russel Wallace, a British naturalist, explorer, Geographer, anthropologist and biologist spends most of his life in the region to investigate different types of butterflies. Wallace stated Bantimurung is The Kingdom of Butterfly (butterfly kingdom). He said at that location there are at least 150 species of butterflies.


That day was not the season, so we did not see a single butterfly , but only the butterfly museum.
