Laskar Pelangi Tour Belitung

Laskar Pelangi is the first novel by Andrea Hirata published by the Bentang Pustaka in 2005. This novel tells the story of the lives of 10 children from poor families who attend school (primary and secondary) in a Muhammadiyah school in Belitung Island with full of limitations.

Still in the morning after getting back from Tanjung Kelayang, we prepared quickly for Laskar Pelangi tour. It was our last day in Belitung. We've got a flight to be caught up, around 4 PM, so photo hunt must be finished earlier.

Sunset at Pulau Babi Kecil Belitung

On the way back to Tanjung Kelayang after snorkeling around Pulau Langkuas, we dropped by at Pulau Babi Kecil. Bang Ito, the tour organizer already arrange the time , so we shouldn't miss the sunset. That was the great moment.


Snorkeling at Pulau Langkuas Belitung

Now, its time to do something fun, snorkeling and swimming around Pulau Langkuas. Typically, tour organizers will offer you to rent snorkeling equipment. Cost range from IDR 75 000 to 100 000 per person for mask, snorkel, life jacket and fin.


Pulau Langkuas Belitung

Pulau Langkuas (Langkuas island) the most often visited by tourists, because there is a lighthouse that was made since Dutch era. The lighthouse is still functioning until this day to help ships, boat  passing through the island.


Pulau Burung Belitung


Next destination is Pulau Burung (Bird Island). The island is not a home for million of birds but there is a limestone that resembles a bird's beak. That why it called as Bird island.


Pulau Babi Besar Belitung

Pulau Babi Besar or in English means big hog Island. No hog found here, but a limestone like a hog or pig. A small island covered with limestone.



Pulau Batu Berlayar Belitung

Visiting Belitung (sometime pronounced 'Belitong') was such amazing. The island was the location of Sail Wakatobi – Belitong 2011, where 94 yachts from 16 countries are experience in the Sail Bangka-Belitong mega event from Darwin, Australia, visiting island and beach destinations across the Indonesian archipelago, to end in Singapore.

The peak event, attended by Indonesia’s President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono took place at Sombu Beach, Wakatobi, on August 23-29, 2011, and at Tanjung Kelayang Beach, Belitong on October 5-12, 2011.

Sunset at Pantai Tanjung Pendam Belitung

Belitung is one of the travel spot that i really wanna visit. Some friends who have done, told a lot about the beauty of the small islands. Finally the time has come. This time we took a trip financed by the office. The company wants us to accompany Customer for a project closing. Thanks God, it's definitely no cost  :).
