Pulau Batu Berlayar Belitung

Visiting Belitung (sometime pronounced 'Belitong') was such amazing. The island was the location of Sail Wakatobi – Belitong 2011, where 94 yachts from 16 countries are experience in the Sail Bangka-Belitong mega event from Darwin, Australia, visiting island and beach destinations across the Indonesian archipelago, to end in Singapore.

The peak event, attended by Indonesia’s President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono took place at Sombu Beach, Wakatobi, on August 23-29, 2011, and at Tanjung Kelayang Beach, Belitong on October 5-12, 2011.

We used local tour organizer and it well prepared . Today our target are visiting the rocky islands by boat. We must be at Pantai Tanjung Kelayang in the morning, From there, we sail around the small island.

Thats pulau batu berlayar,  the sailing rocky island

big limestone

This small island filled with large rocks. Along the way, the tour guide explain everything, but he said: dont ask me where these limestone came from. Nobody knows.

Some people have said about the theory of the large volcano eruption; Mount Krakatau in 1883, Tambora in 1815 or even Toba supervulcano 73000 years ago. Aa aa.confusing :)

Anyway, just enjoy the show.
